The human body is fascinating. It can heal itself in ways we are only beginning to understand. Injury, lack of sleep, and anxiety are just a few of the many health issues that take a toll on your everyday life, productivity and relationships. That’s why we are so excited to share vibroacoustic therapy. This safe, non-invasive treatment increases relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, is effective in managing pain and sleep disorders, and promotes healing. There are so many more benefits - not to mention, it just feels good! Self-care is so important. If you never give back to yourself, you will have nothing left to give to others. So take some time for yourself - to relax, to balance, to heal… to feel good! We're all about taking care of yourself, so that you are able to give the best that you can to others.
VibroAcoustic Therapy (VAT) offers benefits to a wide range of individuals, including:
- People with chronic conditions or special needs
- Those undergoing physical or medical treatments
- Individuals in psychotherapy or alternative therapy
- Business professionals
- Athletes
- Students
- Anyone seeking preventive and integrative wellness therapies
VibroAcoustic Therapy (VAT) is utilized for various purposes, supported by research from institutions like the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It has shown benefits in addressing conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, PTSD, anxiety, physical injuries, brain function enhancement, COPD, asthma, and more.
Based on research findings, optimal results from VibroAcoustic Therapy (VAT) typically require cumulative sessions over a period of 10 to 12 weeks. For most cases, a minimum treatment schedule of 8 weeks is recommended, ideally once or twice per week. Individuals with more chronic conditions may benefit from sessions 2 to 3 times per week. Clients typically notice a difference in after 3 sessions. More chronic conditions require 3 months of regular sessions to show lasting signs of improvement.
Although there have never been any reported adverse reactions with VAT, the following are contraindications, and as a precaution to my clients, I do not perform vibroacoustic therapy under the following circumstances:
1. Pregnancy: VAT should generally be avoided during pregnancy due to potential risks associated with vibrations.
2. Severe Cardiovascular Conditions:
- Heart Disease: Individuals with severe heart conditions, including those with pacemakers, should avoid VAT without medical supervision due to potential interference with device function.
- Individuals with very low blood pressure.
3. Epilepsy: Those with epilepsy should avoid VAT as the vibrations may potentially trigger seizures.
4. Acute Infections or Inflammation: Individuals with active infections or acute inflammation should avoid VAT until fully recovered.
5. Thrombosis or Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT): VAT may exacerbate these conditions by increasing blood flow and could dislodge clots.
6. Recent Surgery: People who have recently undergone surgery should consult their healthcare provider before using VAT to ensure it does not interfere with the healing process.
7. Severe Osteoporosis: Individuals with severe osteoporosis should avoid VAT as the vibrations may cause fractures or other injuries.
8. Individuals who have had a recent psychotic episode (active or borderline psychosis).
9. Individuals with open wounds, external or internal bleeding (except menstrual).
